Ryan Morris is an exceptional entrepreneur, leader and teacher. Graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics, Ryan began his career as a personal banker. After a few years of diligent work, he was dissatisfied with the corporate structure when his compensation failed to progress with his accomplishments. This is when he seized an opportunity that would become his true passion and change his life forever - in the deregulation of energy industry.

Ryan joined Stream Energy in 2005 at the age of 25. During his first 32 months at Stream Ryan promoted to Managing Director, Senior Director, and then the highest position of Executive Director.

In 2013, Ryan met Lacey and she began using her public relations experience and creative skills to help in his Stream business.  They were appointed to the honorary position of Presidential Director and currently maintain the #13 income earner spot in the company. In June 2015 a new position of National Director was announced. Ryan and Lacey qualified as 1 of the first 9 National Directors and was honored with the reward of a brand new Electric Tesla Model S 85D! The couple married in September 2015 and loves that they're now working Stream together.

Stream Energy is a $7 Billion dollar debt-free network marketing company offering life essential services - energy, gas, wireless and home life protection services. This partnership with Stream Energy has been the foundation to help thousands of families across the nation build passive, residual monthly income.

                    Mother and Son Success Story

As children, Ryan Morris and his friends listened to his mother, Martha                                                       Troy, promote the benefits of residual income. So it was natural when                                                       Ryan's best   friend introduced them to the Stream Opportunity.

Martha joined and started building her team immediately. She quickly promoted to the company's highest position, Executive Director, dispite her busy season of life. "My daughter was getting married, we were running 2 conventional businesses and also remodeling our home," she says.  "Many thought we couldn't advance in Stream with all of that activity."

At the time, Ryan was frustrated in his position as a personal banker. "I met every goal, but never got the big raise. I was stuck in neutral," he says.

Watching his mom succeed created vision and determination in Ryan. "My first defining moment was two years into the business when my Stream income equaled my full-time banking income," he says. "Then six months later, it was double my job's salary!"

Today, Ryan reflects on the admiration he has for Martha, who once struggled as a single mother. "My greatest satisfaction is helping improve the financial lot of sinle parents by getting them started in their own Stream business," he says.

For Martha, whose grandmother taught her the value of residule income, there have been a series of defining moments. "I'm proud of what Ryan is doing," she says. "It meant so much when he covered the business for me so I could be at my daughter's (Ryan's sister) medical procedures after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Other relatives have joined Stream, too. It's truly a family business."

Martha Troy was appointed to the honorary position of Presidential Director in 2012 and is currently the

#19 income earner in the company.

Ryan's Foundation: Turn on Hope®

                                     About Us

At Turn On Hope®, we are dedicated to raising funds that go directly to                                                     research for new and improved treatments for breast cancer. Turn On                                                       Hope® is classified as a non-profit, 501c-3. 100% of every dollar earned by Turn On Hope® will go directly to breast cancer private research programs. There are no administrative fees or salaries paid. Turn On Hope® provides research funds where they are most sorely needed in the fight to understand, diagnose, treat, and, someday, prevent breast cancer.

Company Overview

Turn On Hope® has chosen to partner with Stream Energy, a $7 billion dollar energy company that provides electricity and gas to customers in many states across the country. Stream has a special non-profit program, which will give a portion of customers’ electric and gas bills to our foundation each month. (Stream currently has existing service in TX, GA, PA, MD, NJ, NY, and Washington D.C.)

If you live in a state that doesn’t have Stream’s service, you can still be a member of our foundation 100% for free. No donations are necessary unless you just want to give to a great cause...because our primary source of funding is through energy accounts. If you want to help us, please refer a customer to us that lives in one of Stream’s service areas.

How does Turn On Hope® bring in funds, exactly?

IN TEXAS: For each and every residential energy customer Turn On Hope® enrolls in Stream Energy service, Stream Energy will pay a monthly commission of $5 to Turn On Hope®.

IN GEORGIA: For each and every residential electric and gas customer Turn On Hope® enrolls in Stream Energy service, Stream Energy will pay a monthly commission of $4 to Turn On Hope®.

IN MARYLAND, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, PENNSYLVANIA, AND WASHINGTON, D.C: For each and every residential energy customer Turn On Hope® enrolls in Stream Energy service, Stream Energy will pay a monthly commission of $4 for electricity, and $1.50 for gas, for a total of $5.50 to Turn On Hope®.

Funds raised from each of these states will be combined into one pool. At the end of each calendar year, Turn On Hope®’s board of directors will take applications for research programs that need funding, and decide which programs will receive funding from us.

Year to year, the specific programs that receive our support may change, but 100% of the money will always be used to support breast cancer research.

Our Mission:  To raise funds that go directly to breast cancer research -TurnOnHope.org

Our Doctor

Our Scientific Advisory Board Lead Doctor is Dr. Alan Johns. Johns, M.D. has been licensed to practice medicine since 1974, with a private practice in obstetrics and Gynecology since 1978. Not only does he take care of patients going through breast cancer, but also he is a survivor himself. He is the author of The Lump: A Gynecologist’s Journey with Male Breast Cancer. He plays a significant role on the Turn On Hope® board by advising where the funds raised can best be used to help researchers discover the newest, greatest treatments for breast cancer.

"Breast cancer is an extremely diverse and complex disease process. The genetics of a tumor often vary significantly from one patient to another and, surprisingly, may vary within the same tumor in the same patient. Estrogen, progesterone, HER2, uPA, PAI-1, and numerous other markers within each tumor further complicate the picture. Research into these factors, how to treat each one, and how they impact any given patient’s recovery or cure is in its infancy. We have much to learn. Complex problems require complex solutions, and although our understanding of these factors has dramatically increased in the last decade, much more research is necessary to take advantage of this knowledge.

The Turn On Hope® fund has one simple purpose: provide research funds where they are most sorely needed in this fight to understand, diagnose, treat, and, someday, prevent breast cancer.

Our Scientific Advisory Board is comprised of worldwide leaders in breast cancer research. The Scientific Advisory Board will award yearly grants from Turn On Hope® to those organizations, laboratories, or individuals who offer our best hope in this fight.  Please join us."

Our Story

My name is Ryan Morris and I’m honored that you are reading this. I am 34 years old and grew up with my sister who is three and a half years older than me, Allison Parkey, in Fort Worth, Texas.

After she found a lump in her breast in October of 2011, she went for her first mammogram at age 35 (recommended age is 40), underwent surgery to remove the lump, then in December of 2011 we learned that it was malignant: stage one Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC), also known as breast cancer.

It was grade 3, which is the most aggressive form possible, and we also learned that she carried the BRCA2 gene, meaning there was an 87% chance of her developing breast cancer in her lifetime.

Allison and her husband, Ben, who have a one-year-old daughter and a lot to live for, decided the best course of treatment was a bilateral mastectomy (January 2012), followed by the most aggressive course of 16 rounds of chemotherapy treatment, involving three different drugs. It was during this time in January when the seed was planted for our foundation.

Allison lay in the hospital bed one night and was sleeping after her surgery. Her husband Ben, my Mom, and many family members took shifts to be with her. I remember thinking how I wish I could do more…I think we all did.

The problem was none of us have the cure for cancer, nor did we have the proper education to contribute to finding one. Our limited abilities allow us to be there for Allison (we were all very thankful) but not pro-actively help with the solution.  That’s where this idea came from. I want to give back to those that can find a solution for this horrible disease. The best way I can give back is to raise funds for those people that can help…and I have a gift for doing that.  Breast cancer has affected many members of my family including both of my grandmothers, my aunt, and now my sister.

Now it’s my turn to help Turn On Hope® for all of our futures!
